The Biological Imaging Center (BIC) has five laser-scanning confocal microscopes,
on upright or inverted stands, with various capabilities including META and Chameleon modules for simultaneous visualization of multiple fluorophores, and 2-photon capability. In addition, there are low-power stereo dissecting microscopes and temperature-controlled stage areas, as well as other equipment useful for imaging live and fixed tissue and doing time lapse data acquisition.
